| It is a diamond-shaped pill with rounded sides in color blue
that has the word VIAGRA written on top of the pill. We have seen it on TV and in the movies. In fact, there was so much buzz when it first came out in the market. Older men endorsed it; middle-aged men denied using it and sexually active men want to use it for more action. So how does it really work?

When sexual arousal occurs, the stimulation will cause the production of a chemical called cyclic GMP. This chemical creates erection by making the arteries found in the penis to expand and narrow the veins. To make it easier to imagine, imagine a traffic jam of blood flow with blood going to one side and one side only. That‘s what cause erection.
But because an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 or PDE5
attacks the cyclic GMP preventing it from accumulating in the man's
penis results to erectile dysfunction. Viagra stops the PDE5 from
attacking cyclic GMP. So without the PDE5, Cyclic GMP is free to
accumulate in a man's penis when stimulated.
Viagra will work only with sexual stimulation. No matter how many
pills he popped, if the man perceived the stimulation as nonsexual
and he does not get excited, his penis will still not erect. It is
not a miracle drug as others perceived – that the drug would give
you orgasms with an S – as in multiple times. It does not do that
automatically, but you can.
So in short, Viagra blocks PDE5 that attacks cyclic GMP that causes
erection from happening.
